Designed for maximum visibility in demanding airfield environments, the Retro-Reflective Taxiway Marker provides a durable, maintenance-free solution for marking taxiway edges, closed surfaces, and restricted areas. Its high-performance retro-reflective body delivers outstanding day and night visibility, while the rugged UV-resistant construction withstands harsh weather and airside conditions. Featuring a standard 2" NPT threaded base, it installs easily on a variety of mounting systems and is available in multiple lengths to suit your application.

Compliance with Standards

T/C: Provides edge light marking in accordance with Transport Canada TP312E para. 6.1.1.3.

Uses

  • Provides superior day or night visibility of edge light location for snow removal or other maintenance operations.

  • Available with optional high grade retro-reflective bands to greatly increase night time visibility.

Features

  • Low temperature nylon tubing maintains flexibility to -40°C. Weatherproof: exposure to ice, snow and rain.

  • Fluorescent orange colour allows for extreme daytime visibility.

  • No vinyl sleeves that fade and crack in cold temperatures.

  • Marker flexibility is maintained without requirement for a mounting spring.

  • Retro-reflective bands meet the reflectivity requirements of ASTM D4956-01a Type V sheeting.

  • Provided with an integral 3/8"-16 male mounting thread for mounting onto:

    • Pulpit or basecan cover with 3/8" tapped hole.

    • Edge light fixture with optional mounting bracket (ordered separately).

  • Overall diameter of tube is 3/4" (19 mm) which helps maintain a lightweight yet robust design.

  • Field tested, thousands in service.

Engineered for superior airfield guidance, the Retro-Reflective Taxiway Marker provides exceptional day and night visibility for taxiway, apron, and construction area delineation. Built from durable, impact-resistant materials with high-performance retro-reflective sheeting, it offers reliable performance in demanding airport environments and is available in multiple colours and sizes to suit a wide range of applications.

Application

The Retro-Reflective Taxiway Marker is used to delineate taxiway and apron edges when no edge lighting is provided or when centreline taxiway inset lighting is used. The marker is available in different colours to suit standard or special applications.

When used with a temporary mounting baseplate, this unit makes an ideal temporary marker for construction areas on the airside.

Features

  • The 910823 Retro-Reflective Marker is constructed of impact resistant plastic and features a built-in frangible coupling that will allow the marker to come apart when impacted by an aircraft or vehicle but will withstand the effects of jet blast.

  • The marker uses a very high grade retro-reflective material meeting or exceeding the requirements of ASTM D4956-95.

  • The marker is available in three standard sizes or any custom size the customer specifies.

  • Mounting can be accomplished by different methods:

    • a) 2" Rigid Galv. Steel Conduit x 18" with coupling.

    • b) 2" Rigid PVC Conduit x 18" with Female Adapter.

    • c) 2" x 2" (nom.) Wooden Stake.

    • d) 2" ADB Angle Mounting Stake.

    • e) 2" Aluminum Mounting Flange.
